Course Description

Level 3 Catering & Hospitality provides the skills and knowledge required for success in the food industry.
The course is made up of Unit Standards provided by the industry training organisation Service IQ. This is a practical course which focusses on a café skillset. Students will learn about barista techniques and theory, eggs, baking and pasta. Feedback will be sought form customers via an uber eats style delivery service which provides and authentic outcome for students.
Prerequisites
Students must have achieved at least 10 others credits from Level 2 Hospitality or by negotiation with TIC.
Contributions and Equipment/Stationery
A donation towards material costs of $215 for take home elements will be requested.
Stationery required for this course: document wallet, highlighter and glue stick.
Credit Information
You will be assessed in this course through all or a selection of the standards listed below.
