Year 13 UE Literacy
Course Description
Teacher in Charge: Mr K. Lee.
This course is for Year 13 students who have a desire to complete their University Entrance Literacy qualification (achieving 5 Reading and 5 Writing credits). The entire focus of this course is on helping students gain the skills needed to pass assessments that will earn them this qualification. It has been designed so that students are able to join the class at set times that suit their individual learning needs. This course will take the place of a Study option. When students complete their individual goals they may return to a Study class. This course includes a total of 17 credits, so that it also meets the University of Auckland's additional university requirements.
Prerequisites
Students need to be sitting a university approved Year 13 programme (three university approved subjects). Entry into the course will then be determined based on whether or not a student needs to earn the Reading and/or Writing UE literacy qualification. This is a semester-based course.
