L2 Physical Education
Course Description
This course builds upon concepts and information taught in level 1 Physical Education.
In this course, students will develop their understanding of training methods, energy systems, biomechanics, leadership strategies and movement strategies.
Students will have opportunities to apply what they have learnt in the classroom in practical contexts outside of the classroom. The students have a chance to work with Glenfield Intermediate running a sports day and there will be a camp planned during the year for students to experience a hands-on approach in activities.
Students will attempt 17 credits throughout the year. This course leads to Level 3 Physical Education.
Prerequisites
10 Credits in English, Health, History, Geography, or with HOD approval.
Contributions and Equipment/Stationery
Approximate cost of the camp is $250
Students must wear the school's PE T-shirt and black shorts for every class (correct sports shoes are preferred over bare feet).
Stationery required for this course: Chromebook / Device
