L1 Health Education

Course Description

In Level 1 Health, students will learn to develop insights into current issues relating to well-being. Students will develop of range of skills that they can use to:

  • Understand decision-making processes
  • Explore different Health models and apply them to help understand well-being
  • Analyse a range of influences that could affect someone's Hauora and develop strategies to enhance their Hauora
  • Gain an understanding of Mental Health, Relationships and Nutrition.

Many assessments will be co-constructed with students and open to student interest to ensure students explore topics of relevance and interest to them.

This course offers 10 credits, one internal and one external.
